Hi there.
Many of you know me from my super awesome greatest SA blog ever.
I just wanted to write a quick note and introduce myself, and give a bit of a hint as to what I'll be writing about in the coming year.
First of all, I'm honored (well, less than that) to join the staff of the Patriot. Up until now, I had considered this austere organization to be above my talents. However, now that the show is being run by Hunter "when there is a blemish on an apple there are options" Patterson as well as Will "I can't figure out how to make the font on my blog posts match the rest of the blog" Frey, I feel that the standards have fallen low enough to merit my input.
I will not be posting any SA news, thoughts, or opinions on the Patriot. Inside the SA is my fun pet project, and I will put all my SA related posts there. On the Patriot, I will endeavor to move beyond the circus of student government and post on more general student issues, as well as college culture and politics.
I can't promise to bring back Bill's wit, JJ's intelligence, or Pat's... um, whatever it was that Pat did.
But I promise to be a better writer than Hunter.
Won't you come along for the journey? It should be a fun year.

Bill and JJ? I have to kiss the asses of those who will be more successful than I. I might need to borrow money from them some day.
It's really sad that you all seem to secretly hate Pat Ford. What's the deal with that? It is clear to people that have followed the Patriot over the past few years (last year he was admittedly absent) that Pat was the smartest and the best writer. Plus he now writes professionally.
He also was the most controversial and, because of that, the most interesting.
So... why?
its because he's a secret Muslim, much like our President.
Where's the Birth Certificate, Pat?!
Don't bother, Hunter. It would just a secret Muslim birth certificate, anyway.
I'm just confused as to why "Confused" thinks that our hatred for Pat is a secret.
Hunter that is offensive to talk that way about anyone, especially our President. And as for Logan as a member of the Patriot, I am officially done reading this blog because any blog that lets Logan run amok is not worth reading
You're the type of reader we would gladly lose. Anyone who doesn't get our jokes, when we are clearly joking is someone who probably isn't smart enough to read us. And don't give me that "especially our President" bullshit. You're probably one of the same people that, while getting all offensive when someone insults the Great Barry H. Obama, would easily run around yelling "BUSH IS A NAZI!!!" barely a year ago.
Have fun being stimulated by the Hatchet this year.
I object to the assertion that I am being allowed to "run amok".
If anything, my significant talents are being restrained by the evil overlords of the Patriot.

The Patriot accepts anonymous comments [unlike the draconian editors at the Hatchet]. However, we strongly prefer that you USE A NAME. Mostly it's because we don't take anonymous comments seriously, but it's also because we hate bullshit. Have a nice day.
