Best Senate Resolution Ever

Bill, any word on how this resolution is continued evidence that I'm selling out my principles?

Gay?

Good to know you're working hard for the students, Logan!

Well I'm awaiting from the court a date when I can go to court and fight on behalf of the students against a bill that unconstitutionally obscures the spending habits of certain student orgs.

I've also spent hours upon hours in interviews for the executive cabinet next year, making sure that well qualified and non-toolish people like Jordan Chapman and Ashish Kumbat get appointed to next years cabinet, and then talking with my fellow senators to make sure that those people pass through both rules committee and the full senate.

Not least importantly, I've been working with THIS years president to make sure that we get objective and fair people like Meredith Madden on the Student court next year, and moving oversight from SA insiders on the court to people with a more independent perspective.

But yes, Pat, I did spend 5 minutes writing a bill for bill. It was fun.

That was an overreaction.

You're obviously very important.

perfect reaction Logan.

Senators would be wise to vote NO on this resolution lest they be connected to the Patriot. But, if the vote no they risk being eviscerated by the same publication so its really a lose lose. I've been in the SA for almost two years and in that time I have never seen a random student honored with a resolution, and I'm sorry but Bill is just another student like the rest of us

Alright, let me break my self-imposed silence to comment. Just this once.

1) I don't like this resolution.

2) I told Logan not to write this resolution.

3) He wrote this resolution to embarrass/annoy me.

4) Not only will I not be offended when this resolution is voted down, but I will be pleased.

5) I've criticized the Senate in the past for wasting time on resolutions like this.

6) I have no clue why the Student Life Committee did not torpedo this resolution when they met.

Now that these things are "on the record," hopefully I've made it clear that I had nothing to do with this absurdity and that I think it's not worth the time of day.

Pat:

I actually do a fair amount of work trying to improve the SA to the extent it's possible.

Just trying to prove that. I don't want people to think I'm not doing the things I've promised to do.

Well said Bill. Logan your a moron trying to get attention, and you wonder why you lost your rules committee chair election to a GRADUATE SENATOR. You're a joke, get out of the senate before you do any more damage you pathetic loser

Thanks for correcting me there Hunter. If I'm going to insult Logan I should use proper grammar

Logan said...

I don't wonder why I lost.

And I know people in the senate don't like me.

And the only way I get attention is when people like you pay attention.

So just stop paying attention, and you win. You beat me.
