Clearly Steele is the preferred option. It's about time Republicans put someone competent in charge of the RNC.
Maybe we can get Joe the Biden to say that Steele is "[the second] mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man"
[thats actually a real quote Biden said about Obama]
Choosing between the current crop of candidates to save the GOP is like trying to decide who would be a better advocate for civil rights when the options are David Duke and Strom Thurmond. None of the candidates offer any substantive way to reach out to younger people, to those with graduate degrees, or possibly to those that find themselves in the 70% of the country against the war in Iraq.
Or maybe those that think there is more to economic policy than cutting taxes and increasing the size of government more than anyone in 50 years.

JJ FTW or FTL. Depending on what you think about the RNC chairman elections.
It's like electing a new captain for the Titanic five minutes after hitting the iceberg. Have fun.

Oh, come on Pat. You think Mike Duncan is better?

Any non-Mike Duncan candidate will work just fine for me.
It's good that that works for you.
For those of us who want a conservative GOP, we're screwed either way.
