After a year (just about) of picking at each other, the three main entities of GW's conservative movement, Us here at the Patriot, the CRs and our more militant brethren over at YAF can finally agree on something, Julian Bond was a poor choice for a commencement address:

if we're going to have this controversial of a speaker, he better at least do something really ridiculous that makes national headlines. then i'd feel a little more justified... and entertained.

If GW doesn't have the perfect commencement speaker--if the poor ears of impressionable young students are assaulted by anything they might disagree with, the world will surely explode.
Yeah, hopefully next year we can get someone who became famous without offending anyone and who is totally uncontroversial to give a really exciting, completely balanced speech that everyone agrees with.
Let's get Kanye next year. At least he's very upfront about George Bush and how he feels about Black people... too soon?
