I think this is fantastic. I know we have seen a spike in interest in our blog over the past few months as well, and it seems that a vibrant GW community is flourishing on the net. There are now Hatchet alternatives, but they are more than that.
I will continue to read the Colonialist with enjoyment. Good luck guys!

Agreed.
In a couple months a couple small blogs run by a handful of people have done what the Daily Colonial couldnt do over a period of years.
I don't get it. All I see at the Colonialist is a 5-day-old post about something I'm not interested in.
Thanks for the kind words.
We are having some trouble getting everyone's computers to see the new site. We think the DNS shift hasn't taken full effect.
Also, if people clear their cache, that seems to be working too.
Either way, with in a few days, everyone should be able to view the new site.
Thank you guys for constantly reading and commenting. Even when we disagree, it's nice to have a community going.
I stand corrected. I dig the new look @ colonialist.

The Patriot accepts anonymous comments [unlike the draconian editors at the Hatchet]. However, we strongly prefer that you USE A NAME. Mostly it's because we don't take anonymous comments seriously, but it's also because we hate bullshit. Have a nice day.
